RCMP Horse Auction
The Horse Agency was contracted by RCMP Foundation to consult on their biannual horse sale. We built a fully customized site dedicated to the 2015 sale. The site featured general information on the sale, the foundation, as well as information on each horse which included video, photography and pedigree information.
These new marketing initiatives resulted in 15% increase in registered bidders, an incredible 45% increase in gross receipts, in addition to a 35% increase in average price. The highlight of the sale was the sale of a four-year-old mare for $40,000 – the highest price on record for the auction.
In early 2013,the local yearling market had been consistently stagnant or, if anything, in decline for many years.. Warren presented a concept to the board of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario) and the consignors of their annual yearling sale.
His presentation included a rebranding of the sale and, a major revamp of the corresponding sales stakes. The sale was renamed The Canadian Premier Yearling Sale, the annual races were moved to the prior Wednesday night and 250 high net worth potential owners were invited. The event was an immediate success and unanimously approved by the directors to be continued. The event is now in it’s third year and has introduced over 750 people to Ontario racing at it’s best.
As Canada’s leading commercial thoroughbred stallion farm, it is vital that the farm has industry leading marketing and promotion.
Over the past several years that we have been consulting on Park Stud’s promotion the farm has produced several leading stallions, been the leading consignor at a Keeneland sale and their stallions have set sales records and produced offspring that are consistently popular in the marketplace.
Beginning with the 2015 season, The Horse Agency began working with Angelstone to develop ideas to bring in and foster new sponsorships from outside the horse industry, and to further develop their fan base with a focus on urban areas, specifically Toronto.
We connected Angelstone Tournaments with several new sponsors, including an internationally recognized financial institution. Other marketing and sponsorship initiatives included organizing cocktail parties for potential sponsors and developing reciprocal arrangements with a private members club that brought in many new people to experience international show jumping for the first time.

When $1,000,000 G1 TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Court Vision retired to stud at Park Stud in 2011 it required an event fitting the champion he was. Having won the 2010 $1,000,000 G1 Woodbine Mile, Court Vision was well known to local racing fans.
he Horse Agency proposed to Park Stud and the owners at Spendthrift Farm that they sponsor the first retirement ceremony in the Woodbine Racetrack paddock for a stallion retiring in Ontario since the great Northern Dancer. With the fantastic cooperation of Woodbine, hundreds of fans and the who’s who of local thoroughbred racing were treated to one last racetrack visit of five-time G1 winner Court Vision. Park Stud and Spendthrift provided caps and signed memorabilia for fans, and an impressive lunch in the Hall of Fame for breeders.
Court Vision went on to set a record for the number of mares bred in a year by an Ontario stallion and is was champion freshman sire in Canada in 2015. His yearlings have also been the most sought after offspring of any stallion in Canada. Court Vision currently has the favourite for the 2017 Queen's Plate.
